           Ed DeRocker opened Front Street Home 10  years ago as a store front for his interior design business.   He had many high end clients up and down the east coast of the US and largely in the Adirondacks and Saratoga Regions.   The store was his favorite place to meet people and socialize about design and art.  The store itself has become known as a unique destination for quality home goods and furnishings.   He  always focused on quality and unique products and used a setup that is not typical of similar stores.  

            We try to set up different “rooms” within the space and offer ideas and suggestions so that people can imagine pieces in an actual setting with all accessories and art.  He used it as an opportunity to meet people and from his interactions he would gain new clients for his design work.   He did not want the space to feel sterile and so he worked with his local friends and artist to add art and furnishings in the spaces to make them feel more like a lived in home space.   

         With Ed passing in June of 2024, his sister, Sherri with whom he worked side by side for over 35 years, and his son-in law, Gregg who joined the team as a project manager and designer in 2016 have picked up the reigns and are working hard to keep the vision alive.  Front Street Home remains a place to come to explore, imagine, design, and dream not only on your own, but also with an experienced and talented team of designers and artists.

        We regularly rearrange the spaces so that the store does not look the same twice and pieces that a customer may see in one setting one week may be seen in a whole new light and new setting another. This really works with our customers and many return to see how things have changed again and again.  We are not your typical home goods store and want to continue to offer unique high quality works as well as help people design and build their homes!
